The 3 deadly sins….or all of the above?

This cartoon comes from the brain of my neighbor Tom. I would like to take full credit for it, but my only contribution beyond the drawing was the “talk, text, and data rates may apply” gag on the welcome sign.

It is always fun for me to hear cartoon ideas from my friends. I have a few more in the works that came from another friend of mine as well. Stay tuned.

It can be hard coming up with a new cartoon every couple of days between work and other life obligations. Almost as hard as putting the cap back on the toothpaste. But, not as hard as using your blinker while driving.

Seriously! Isn’t that one of the main things you learn in Drivers Ed? Everyone else on the road shouldn’t have to be physic and try to anticipate your every move. Give us a clue, dude!

My neighbor is a professional driver by trade. He drives a milk truck that collects milk from the farms to be processed and bottled for your morning coffee, breakfast cereals, Kahlua and milks…and whatnot. So, the next time that you forget to use a turn signal in traffic - just know that my neighbor wishes you would go to hell.

I suspect that the toothpaste bit comes from his teenage son and the shopping carts…well I have a couple of dings on my car from runaway shopping carts that were not returned properly. So I can see where he got the idea for that one. The idea came from EVERY GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT IN AMERICA! I mean, how hard is it to put the shopping cart back where you got it from? Or, at the very least, those little shopping cart corrals in the parking lot? You know, the metal cages 5 feet from where you parked, where dozens of other shopping carts are waiting to be brought back into the store?

Truth be told, he and I could probably sit down and come up with hundreds of variations of this same cartoon with tons of different “sins” of human laziness.

It all comes down to this simple principle… other people in the world deserve the same respect that you wish to have for yourself. It’s not all about you. It never has been and it never will be.

So…return your carts, cap your paste, and for god sake use a turn signal once in a while! My neighbor and I thank you.

That’s today’s silliness folks. As usual, thanks for checking my cartoons out and sharing them with your friends. I like drawing them but, I enjoy seeing other people enjoy them. It warms my heart.

See you Wednesday with another one! Until then!

Cheers,

~tod
