Second things second…welcome to Midlife Thesis!

I am so excited to have you here as I launch the very first Midlife Thesis cartoon! There will be new cartoons posted every Sunday and Wednesday at 7 am…with the exception of today’s post…and tomorrow’s…but then on 1/5/2022 we will get on a regular schedule. Each cartoon will have some little blurb from me here about it as well. That is something you won’t fully get on Facebook & Instagram. However, I suggest you follow on one (or both) of those platforms so you will be notified each time a new cartoon posts. If you share it with your friends I would be grateful as well. Hopefully one of these days I can make cartoons for a living and post daily cartoons. If I get to that point it will be because of your early support of the cartoon series. I thank you in advance.

As for the cartoon itself;

A new year is here and that always comes with great expectations for the future. Sadly just because the calendar changed over it doesn’t mean our past is behind us. I have been sober for almost 8 years now and I used to go to a certain anonymous 12 step program early on in sobriety. The “old-timers”, as they are called, used to say “Never let up on working the program because your addiction is out in the parking lot doing pushups - waiting for you to get too comfortable.” Good advice, and not just for sobriety. So….Happy New Year…but watch your back. Looks like those problems from last year are getting beefed up!
